Tinkerbell and the Legend of the Neverbeast

Legend of the Neverbeast Out Now

It’s been a week of movie watching in our house and that’s because Tinkerbell and the Legend of the Neverbeast was released on Disney Movies Anywhere, Blu-Ray, DVD and Disney Digital HD on March 3rd.  We received an advanced copy to review from Disney Home Entertainment, any opinions expressed are my own.

AnimalFairyWorld_JP_061913elnote

I was very excited about Tinkerbell and the Neverbeast, since seeing the preview on the Pirate Fairy DVD.  When the DVD arrived my daugher was super excited.  She couldn’t wait to watch it and see what the fairies were up to next.  She rushed and did her homework and before I knew it she had already watched it twice in a few hours.  She just loved it.  So when I wanted to watch it on a snow day she was more and excited to watch with the family.  It way such a great movie.  I love how big Fawn’s heart is in this movie.  She reminds me of Tinkerbell a lot in that she’s lead with her heart and she tries her best to help out all the animals.

Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeaset_Scout Fairies_Lineup (

I love the addition of new character in all the fairy movies and this time it’s the Scouts.  There job is the keep the other fairies safe from large animal intruders.  Nyx (seen above holding the spare) is the rival to Fawn in this movie.  She learns of the Legend of the Neverbeast and shares it with the Queen, Fawn determined to prove her wrong decides to help Gruff anyway and they end up on a magical, fun, emotional journey.  Friendships are tested and Pixie Hallow ends up in great danger.  Be sure to pick up your own copy of Tinkerbell and the Legend of the Neverbeast to see who’s the hero and how the story ends.  You’re going to love it.

About Tinkerbell and the Neverbeast:

TinkerBellAndTheLegendOfTheNeverbeastBlurayDisneytoon Studios returns to Pixie Hollow with the heartwarming adventure “Legend of the NeverBeast.” The new story explores an ancient myth of a fabled creature whose distant roar sparks the curiosity of Tinker Bell’s good friend Fawn, an animal fairy who’s not afraid to break the rules to help an animal in need. But this animal—massive and strange with glowing green eyes—is not really welcome in Pixie Hollow, and the scout fairies are determined to capture the mysterious beast before it destroys their home. Fawn, who sees a tender heart beneath his gruff exterior, must convince Tink and the girls to risk everything to rescue the NeverBeast before time runs out. Directed by Steve Loter (“Kim Possible”) and produced by Makul Wigert (“Secret of the Wings”), “Legend of the NeverBeast” roars to life in March 3, 2015.

Fairies, Pirates & a Giveaway Me Mateys

Fairies, Pirates & a Giveaway Me Mateys

The Pirate Fairy is set to hit stores and digital stores on Tuesday, April 1st but while I was in L.A. for my press trip courtesy of the generous folks at Disney I had the opportunity to attend a private screening of the movie and I even had a chance to speak with the creators of the movie (more of that to come later).  It was amazing and while writing these last few posts from my trip is bitter sweet, I just love being able to share parts of the trip with my family, friends and readers.  Getting back into all things Pirate Fairy, if you are a fan of the fairies then you’ll love the newest chapter in the franchise.  This time I think the movie is going to be a hit with both girls and boys (adults too).  When you introduce pirates it’s sure to entertain everyone.

THE PIRATE FAIRY

In this installment we meet Zarina a dust keeper fairy with a tinker side to her. It’s funny because in the movie the top dust keeper fairy even makes mention of her tinkering ways.  It’s what eventually led Zarina to share with Tinkerbell a secret she was keeping from the rest of the dust keeping fairies.  When I first saw the preview for the film I thought she was just all bad but the movie did a great job introducing us to her so we see how she went from her Pixie Hallow self to then being the captain of a pirate ship.  She’s brave and bold, a great addition to the fairies.

THE PIRATE FAIRY

Baby Crocky was a huge hit at the screening.  I’ve been a fan of him since the movie.  We also got a stuffed plush from the folks at Disney Toon Studio and so my kids have been enjoying him as well. He’s an important part of the cast of characters added in this movie.

THE PIRATE FAIRY

I really love the story of people making mistakes and forgiveness told in this movie.  I also like that we see more of other fairies character develop as well.   In each movie we see the filmmakers develop each one and gives us some more of their personality.  In this film we see Silvermist who usually is shy and quite having to take the lead.

the group

Overall this movie is a great movie and that’s not surprising because I’ve enjoyed all the Tinkerbell movies thus far.  I just really love the addition of pirates in this movie and how they added in so many great characters that helps take the movie to a totally different level.  It’s a must buy and you can pick it up on April 1st in stores and online.

Haven’t seen the trailer yet?  Check out this extended trailer from the movie.

Also here’s a clip of one of the bonus selections from the movie.  Check them all out.  My son loved the Croc-u-mentary about crocodiles.  They are all worth checking out.

Carlos Ponce Joins the Cast of Disney’s The Pirate Fairy

Carlos Ponce Joins the Cast of Disney’s The Pirate Fairy

THE PIRATE FAIRY

I recently shared my super exciting news that I was going to LA next week for a Disney Bloggers event.  You can read more about it in my post – They Asked, I Said Yes, So I’m Heading to LA to Disney Studios.  I’m so excited it’s my first time heading to LA and of course going to the Disney Studios.  One of the things we’ll be doing there is seeing an advance screening of Disney’s The Pirate Fairy before it’s released on April 1st.  To follow along with all my Pirate Fairy fun follow the hashtag #PirateFairyBloggers on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.  Here’s a sneak peak at one of the cast members of the movie – Carlos Ponce.

HOLA BONITO – Disneytoon Studios called on actor/singer/composer Carlos Ponce to fill the shoes of sensitive pirate Bonito in “The Pirate Fairy.” Serving as rigger alongside James and Zarina in the film, the huge Spaniard can throw a harpoon a hundred yards. But Bonito is quite passionate about sewing, not only the ship’s sails, but also applying dainty double-stitched seams to his fairy captain’s tiny outfits. The swashbuckling new adventure about an ambitious, but misunderstood dust-keeper fairy who joins forces with a band of pirates sets sail April 1, 2014.

Natasha Bedingfield Lends Her Voice to The Pirate Fairy Song

Natasha Bedingfield Lends Her Voice to “The Pirate Fairy” Song

THE PIRATE FAIRY

I love Natasha’s voice, my favorite song by her is “These Words” followed by “Pocket of Sunshine”.  He voice is so raspy and rich, she makes great music and I am thrilled to learn that she is singing an original song for Disney’s “The Pirate Fairy”.  My daughter has had us watching clips of the upcoming release constantly and she’ll love this new clip as well featuring the song and another sneak peek at the new movie.  Check out the clip below:

From Disneytoon Studios About the Collaboration with Natasha:

Disneytoon Studios’ new adventure “The Pirate Fairy” features Zarina, a smart and ambitious dust-keeper fairy whose wild ideas get her into trouble. And according to filmmakers, a fairy with such an outgoing personality called for a very special musical accompaniment. “We are lucky enough to have award-winning Natasha Bedingfield serve as the inner voice of Zarina through her songs,” says Peggy Holmes, director of “The Pirate Fairy.” “Zarina is a little offbeat and contemporary and these songs showcase her personality so well. We used one of Natasha’s  songs, ‘Weightless,’ as a temp track and fell in love with it—so much so, we decided to use it in the final film. We felt Natasha’s voice so perfectly spoke to Zarina’s character, we asked her to also perform our original song ‘Who I Am,’ which was written for ‘The Pirate Fairy.’”
